Hurulu Eco Park Animals

Sri Lankan Elephants

The park is best known for its large populations of wild Asian elephants. During the dry season, elephants migrate to the park in search of food and water, creating spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities for safari visitors.

Spotted Deer

Graceful herds of spotted deer are commonly seen grazing in open grasslands and forest clearings throughout the park.

Sambar Deer

The larger sambar deer can often be spotted near water sources and dense forest areas, especially during the early morning and late afternoon.

Purple-Faced Langurs and Toque Macaques

Several monkey species inhabit the park, including the endemic purple-faced langur and the playful toque macaque.

Wild Boar

Wild boars are frequently seen foraging in grasslands and forest edges, adding excitement to every safari experience.

Crocodiles and Reptiles
